Who we are
When people see us for the first time, the rugged appearance, the beard, and the tattoos often stand out immediately. But behind those beards lies more than just a physical characteristic. We are Bearded Villains Netherlands: a group of men who have found each other in brotherhood. What truly binds us is the belief that together we are stronger, and that with that strength we must give something back to society and the community.
What we do
We believe that brotherhood goes beyond camaraderie and friendship. It also means taking responsibility. For each other, but especially for the world around you. That is why we have been committed to charitable causes in the Netherlands for years. Large and small actions, nationwide and locally, but always with the same goal: to make a difference for those who need it most.
Examples of our charity work

Big events, big impact
BeardFest (Roosendaal, 2025) Beardsterdam (Amsterdam 2016 – 2022); A lifestyle and music festival where we managed to connect hundreds of visitors to our mission. As an example, we used the proceeds from our last edition to provide the Youth Center Roosendaal with a large communal kitchen and craftmanship workspace. Both to bring people together through knowledge transfer and craftsmanship. These spaces were not only financed by us but were also physically renovated/built by us. Not just a financial impulse but personal involvement from start to finish.

Local actions for children and families
During the holidays, we regularly provide gifts and support to children who do not receive this at home as self-evident. In addition, we make an annual effort during the Christmas period for the Foundation ‘De Held van 11‘. Dressed as Santa Clauses, we sell Christmas wishes that are hung on the Christmas tree in the city square of Bergen op Zoom. The proceeds and donations from these actions have previously benefited, among other things, a play area in
the children’s hospital and a relaxation area for mothers with a difficult pregnancy. This year, the proceeds will be used for a collaboration with Foundation DANC. The goal of DANC is to promote the well-being and welfare of children aged 0 to 18 in the Bergen op Zoom region.
Children who, for whatever reason, deserve to be put in the spotlight.

Collaborations with charity organizations
From sponsorship to joint events: we actively seek connections with local and national foundations to make a lasting difference. In the past, we have raised funds through events such as BeardFest and Beardsterdam for organizations including KiKa, the Alzheimer Fund, ALS, and the Sophia Children’s Hospital, but over time we have shifted our focus to smaller organizations.
The main reason for this is that collaborating at a local and regional level has a much greater impact on society, and that all forms of donations can be utilized down to the last cent for the good cause itself.
Community support
Whether it is about collecting clothing, supporting food banks, or offering a listening ear: we are here to strengthen our community. Locally, regionally, but always with our feet on the ground and among the people. Our commitment takes many forms. Sometimes we are visible at festivals and in the city, sometimes behind the scenes at a food bank or a local foundation. But it is always about people. About providing warmth, support, and opportunities. For this, we use our network, our creativity, and our own hands.
Why collaborate with BVNL?
With the help of donors and sponsors, we can not only continue this effort but also expand it. Every contribution (large or small) helps us support new projects, organize more events, and consistently create that positive impact.
Bearded Villains Netherlands combines passion, creativity, and visibility with a strong network of engaged members. Every donation contributes to tangible results and gains a face in our community and activities. Together, we show that brotherhood and social commitment can go hand in hand.
Because ultimately, what it’s all about at Bearded Villains Netherlands is this: a beard may be our trademark, but our heart beats for society.
Together with you, we can make that heart speak even louder.
